​Born in Canberra, Stewart grew up surrounded by music and was determined to become a guitarist. Initially self-taught, he developed his skills through programs for emerging Indigenous artists in the ACT region and studying the Keith Urban online guitar program

“30 songs in 30 days”. Completing these with the strong support of his family and his community, he gained enough confidence to start performing at local talent shows.

 

Stewart has drawn from many Acoustic, Folk, Country and Rock influences such as Keith Urban, INXS, Paul Kelly, Troy Cassar-Daley , Zach Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, Kim Churchill, Bruce Springsteen, Kip Moore, Cold Chisel & Luke Combs.
